I'm a bit of health nut and am wondering where I can find Organic food. Thanks!

Both grocery stores, (Keller's & Safeway), do sell some organic produce, and there is a heath food store in Banff, (Weeds & Seeds), and the Nutter's in Canmore offers a wide variety of organic and bulk foods, as well as nutritional suppliments and vitimins.

Yes, there is a health food store in Banff — Weeds and Seeds on Bear Street 760-5060. As well, Keller Foods (the smaller of our two supermarkets) has an organic produce section.

Councillor Chip Olver has raised weed control as an issue, particularly the thistle along the Bow River.

The Town of Banff plans to go after more invasive weeds this year.

The Town of Banff also partners with the Town of Canmore, Alberta Parks, and MD of Bighorn in the Invasive Species Plant program, which includes an in-school plant interpretive show and classroom field day at Bow Valley Provincial Park.

Currently, the Town of Banff manages invasive plants through mechanical means only, such as pulling, digging or mowing.
